In the first year, students will have general education courses and take courses with the honors interdisciplinary department that will prepare them to become a true JCFS student. The first year will be an especially busy year for all students. Since JCFS provides a new type of university education based on an innovative hybrid learning platform, it is essential that students ‘learn how to learn’ in JCFS. Therefore, in addition to liberal arts classes for the young intellectuals, students will also have to learn how to work on teams for cooperative learning, and how to adapt to flipped, self and online learning. Moreover, students will also need to build the foundation for their undergraduate academic major. Therefore, students will take courses on areas such as basic math, statistics, coding, writing, and foreign languages. From this foundation of knowledge, students will build their customized study path for the three years to follow.
