Phase 2 – Fundamental Major

After finishing 1 year of general education and foundation courses, students will select their major and study that major for 1.5 years (3 semesters). There are three majors to choose from – artificial intelligence, cognitive science, and data science.

  • Artificial Intelligence (AI): AI major focuses on understanding how artificial intelligence works and applying AI to real-world situations and problems. The curriculum includes courses on computer science, computational modeling, machine learning, and AI tool application.
  • Cognitive Science (CS): CS major focuses on understanding how the human mind works by drawing upon multiple disciplines such as psychology, linguistics, and neuroscience. The curriculum includes courses on cognitive psychology, cognitive neuroscience, and computational cognitive modelling.
  • Data Science (DS): DS major is designed to provide understanding of how to collect, manage, and analyze massive amounts of data to make informed decisions. The curriculum includes courses on data structures, advanced statistics, and data analytics.
